Literature Text

You're angry
Understatement
Livid
Shaking with fury

I'm speechless
You lecture
Enounciate
Articulate

"I gave you
Everything"
You say
I disappointed you

I don't want
To meet your eyes
"I judged you wrong"
I stand straighter

I look up
And bite my lip
I'm ready
To be judged again

Your eyes
Pierce my heart
X-ray my soul
Dissect me

Your eyes darken
Cold and hating
The verdict approaches
I'm dying inside

"You are not the person
I thought you were."
Guilty
My execution awaits
Before anyone says anything, I left out full stops and commas on purpose. Punctuation makes an impact on how you perceive things, and I want to leave this up to you. Some places could be interpreted differently if I had put punctuation in. This poem has a dual meaning, and I'd be gratified if you could give imput on which one you saw first. Just as a curiousity thing.

What I first pictured in my head was my mother yelling at me. What I pictured second was a significant other upset with me. A lovely poem :D
